Membership Types

HRMAC Membership

HRMAC serves the human resources professionals of over 700 companies, government entities and not-for-profit groups in the greater Chicagoland area. If your organization is not a member, consider joining us. 

HRMAC membership is primarily company-based. Organizations should select either the Corporate HR staff category, the Professional Services category, the Nonprofit Organization category or the Sole Practitioner category. HR Professionals in transition, individuals in the public sector and Student can apply for Individual membership. Company memberships are effective from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. Individual memberships are effective for one year from the date of purchase.

Dues fee is determined by the number of your organization's employees located in the greater Chicago area. Organizations providing products and services to the human resources community must join under the professional services category.

Professional Services

Organizations or Sole Practitioners that provide products and services to the Human Resources community are invited to join HRMAC under our Professional Services membership category. Sole Practitioner

A sole practitioner, also known as a sole proprietor, is a proprietor of a professional practice and is a company of one employee, the proprietor. A sole practitioner that provides products and services to the Human Resources community is invited to join HRMAC under this special professional services membership category. Dues fee is assessed by the number of your organization's employees located in the greater Chicago area.

HRMAC offers the following individual memberships

Transition

Transition Membership is an individual membership designed to help ease the burden of changes in employment status for human resources professionals actively seeking full-time HR-related employment. HRMAC recognizes that individuals in transition may accept short-term contract assignments or project work (90 days or less). However, if a transition member accepts employment in an HR-related role within an organization, a long-term contract assignment with a single organization, or opens a firm offering HR services then your membership expires immediately.

Membership dues are $99 and expires one year from the date your membership is approved.

Student

Student Membership may be held by those at the undergraduate and graduate level. This is a low cost way for students to be involved in HRMAC and become acquainted with professionals in the field and learn more about Human Resources. Any student enrolled in a full- or part-time course of study in the area of Human Resources management with more than 4 months before graduation is eligible for student membership. Evidence of earned college hours and anticipated graduation date will be required prior to approval.

Student membership dues are $60 and the membership expires one year from the date your membership is approved

Civic

Civic Membership is for individuals in the public sector. Any public sector employee who is interested in the mission of the Association shall be eligible as a civic member. Since this is an individual membership, only the person holding the membership may take advantage of HRMAC membership. For that reason, consider corporate membership so that all of your employees can participate in HRMAC events at member rates.

Civic membership dues are $150 and the membership expires one year from the date your membership is approved.
